Softball and wood ball teams from technical university of Mombasa dominated the annual 10th edition of Kenya university sports association (KUSA) champions.

In all wood ball and softball games, it was an all technical university of Mombasa against its opponents at the final games which were hosted at TUM main campus.

The Kenya, March 5th, 2021- female students from at least 14 universities, across the country came together to celebrate the international women’s day in style during the 10th edition of the KUSA women’s championships that culminated at the Technical university of Mombasa.

“It’s a great honour and proud that the games are over without any problem, it’s my pleasure to applaud everyone for making it a success by following the health guidelines as prescribed by the ministry of health,” said Mr Joel Awino, Technical university of Mombasa dean of students.

In line with the international women’s day theme, which focused on gender equality and running under the hush tag (eachforequal), the commission used the event platform preaching to the young ladies the gospel of “women in sports; achieving an equal future in a covid-19 world.”

Speaking at the closing of the championship, KUSA president Mr Mureithi applauds Technical university of Mombasa for the worm welcoming and further noted that the commission was working hard to bring on board more institutions.

On the other hand, Technical university of Mombasa deputy sports officer captain Stephen juba also lauded that it was to the best interest of every university to register for such an event to help female students exploits their talents.
