The technical university of Mombasa, under the communications department, has launched an online radio that will update the students and community on news, music, politics, health, religion, art, current affairs, and many more issues. The radio is a student’s driven initiative with the help of their lectures at the department.

The students managed to come up with the radios name (TUMO) different shows and programs to be aired. The main aim of the radio is to educate the Technical University Community on the various issues and current affairs. With the radio presenters mainly drawn from the communications studies department, will also offer a platform for students from different departments with interest in media, to practice and better their skills.
