Technical University of Mombasa Vice-Chancellor Prof. Laila Abubakar exchange copies of the MOU with Pwani Oil products Limited Commercial Director Mr. Rajul Malde shortly after the MOU signing ceremony. The MOU allows TUM to collaborate with Pwani Oil Products Limited in various fields.

The two organization have agreed on collaborative research initiatives including proposal writing and publications; joint community outreach and mentorship programmes; joint organization of conferences, workshop and symposia; student attachment, internship and placement; staff Exchange Programme and Training.

Other areas of collaborations include; joint development of short-term courses for targeted groups; joint advocacy and sensitizations awareness of issues of interest to both institutions as well as exchange and sharing relevant information, infrastructure and facilities.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Laila Abubakar signed on behalf of the University witnessed by the Registrar in charge of partnership, research and innovation Dr. Michael Saulo and in the presence of the university’s legal officer Ms Serah Okumu.

Prof. Laila stressed that increased collaborations would be very beneficial to both the two organization.

On his part, Mr. Rajul Malde who said on behalf of Pwami oil products Limited

Welcomed the agreement between the two institutions adding that the development will strengthen the academic and staff areas of the two institutions.

The Parties resolved to mutually work together to mobilize resources through training programs and materials developed under the MoU to fund the operations and delivery of the objectives of the MoU.
