The VC urged the teams to remain focused and ambitious, encouraging them to uphold the same determination as they advance to higher levels of competition.
She also challenged the sportsmen and women to aim beyond regional success and aspire for international level, where they can further showcase their talent and represent the University.
On his part, the University Sports and Games Officer, Mr Anthony Mwanzia, attributed the success to the consistent support from university management towards sports development.
He noted that the support has played a vital role in strengthening training programs, improving team preparation, and enhancing overall performance across different disciplines.
The sports officer further highlighted that the achievements were also driven by the dedication, and commitment of the student athletes, who have consistently demonstrated resilience and strong competitive spirit both in training and during competitions.
He also disclosed that the sports at the University has increasingly opened doors for several talented students to join professional teams and access certain employment opportunities.
The VC said she supports such initiatives.
