Jiddu tajjidu is Technical University of Mombasa’ motto which means endeavor and achieve. It encourages students to put more effort in their studies and anything they do since education is one of the most important pillars in this journey of life

The 30th day of May, Tum was honoured to mentor Mazeras High School students, they were anxiously waiting to hear from the teaching staffs on how and what is required of them to be part of the tum family.

As soon as they arrived, they were welcomed at the assembly hall were their host Dr Madiha who is the Director Of Career Services introduced them to the various representatives of the Schools and Institute at the University. She gave an overview of the various courses offered and later handed over the session to the respective speakers.

To begin with, Mr Sande from the Institute Of Computing and Informatics insisted that the boys put more effort in sciences mathematics and languages.” We consider languages because our lectures are offered in English’’ He said.

On the other hand, Mr Yange from the School Of Pure and Applied Sciences urged the students to apply courses offered in this School since they are very marketable and they also check on an exemplary performance in mathematics.

From the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the lecturer told them that it has three departments which majorly put into consideration those who did well in arts but also looks at one’s performance in mathematics

The Dean of Students wrapped it up by aiding the students on how to meet their set mean grades.” You need to create your own extra time for your studies, ensure that you have a time table and tackle fifteen sums every day When you get used to something you will not be afraid to handle it with confidence’’
