The Technical University of Mombasa has won the best University stand at the ongoing Agricultural Society of Kenya [ASK] International show in Mombasa.

The show themed Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth has attracted several government agencies, corporations, institutions as well and the private businesses, as they intensify their research on mitigating the impacts of climate change.

TUM, as an educational institution, impressed the trade judges with its wide range of training and technological innovations and interpretation of this year’s theme hence winning the award.

It is showcasing its technological innovations in agriculture through plant harvesting robots, hydroponic machines, and solar-powered incubators, among others.

The five-day expedition began on Wednesday but official opening was scheduled for Thursday, September 7, 2023, by President William Ruto.

The primary goal of this agricultural exhibition and commercial event is to support and publicize agricultural and commercial efforts. It will highlight novel advancements and cutting-edge technologies that are in line with the Government’s strategy for agriculture and trade growth in Mombasa County and its environs.

The Technical University of Mombasa, known for its practical approach to research and innovation, is committed to providing community solutions through environmentally friendly programs.

Currently, the Technical University of Mombasa is one of the leading learning institutions in the Coast region, attracting learners across the country.
