Welcome to the Department of Accounting and Finance under the School of Business. Currently, the department offers market driven undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses in in the areas of Finance, Accounting and Procurement.
The department is comprised of exceptionally qualified faculty members with expertise in the areas of Accounting and Finance. Our graduates would comfortably carry out such tasks as; Accountancy, Tax Consultancy, Banking, internal and external Auditing, investment analysis, Finance Consultancy, Insurance Consultancy, risk analysis, data analysis, public sector finance and accounting related tasks.
In order to ensure that our students are exposed and adaptable to the job market, we have partnered with the private sector to secure attachment opportunities. Further, our relationship with Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) has ensured that we are accredited as an exam center while our Lamu campus has interim accreditation as a KASNEB courses training center.
