Welcome to the Department of Open distance and e-Learning (ODeL)
As the world continues to grapple with massive disruptions in the education ecosystem that were caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) has kept abreast with the technological advancements through implementation of innovative ways to unlock solutions that support students and educators deliver amidst the pandemics.
Through the Department of Open Distance and e-Learning (ODeL), TUM recognizes the need to offer educational modes that are flexible and take into account the changing societal trends in education sector. In line with the Vision, and Mission of TUM, the Department of Open Distance and e-Learning is mandated to promote access to flexible and quality education through the innovative use of ICT. The department facilitates provision of a wide range of programs at Certificate, Diploma and Postgraduate levels through ODeL mode of study which includes a combination of blended and online learning approaches.
