Delegation Led by Chairman Prof. Richard Mibei from Commission for University Education (CUE) visited TUM on Monday 30th July, 2018. During a courtesy call at the Vice Chancellor’s office, the Chairman Professor Mibei commented that “The main objective of their visit to TUM is to confirm the University operations as a regular Audit conducted in a cycle of five years after being chartered.”

One of the key requirements for all the Public Universities is to be audited after being awarded a University Charter, this is one of the monitoring and evaluation tool for the Commission to gauge the standards of quality services rendered to the Public. Since it’s a requirement of the Kenya University Act for the Commission to audit the Kenyan Universities in a cycle of every five years TUM was no exceptional for the audit after a fruitful completion of its five years from 2013 when it was awarded the University Charter.

During her opening remarks together with University Senators, Chairperson (s) of Department, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Laila Abubakar flanked by the Deputy Vice Chancellors’ Academic Research and Extension (ARE) and Administration Finance and Planning (AFP) assured CUE team, full cooperation during their visit to accomplish their goals. She however thanked the Commission once again for coming to conduct this noble exercise.
